Does your bath tub drain slowly?
I have found that there are two main reasons and here they are:
1. The tub drain plug (the one with the lever) may not be opening all the way. There are parts that wear out and linkages
that need adjustment.
2. Hair has collected on the drain screen (where the water goes out) and has grown into what they call a "rat tail" in
the plumbing trade. If you see any hair or string or anything hanging on to the drain screen, get something to grab it and
pull it out. You don't want to push it into the drain, that may cause a clog down the line. I have pulled out "rat tails"
two feet long and it's pretty gross, but then the tub drains faster.
